In Uganda's Kibale National Park, the world's largest chimpanzee community has been torn apart. What was once a united group of 200 chimps has split into warring factions after two decades of peace.
Over 24 chimpanzees have been killed in organized deadly attacks. Even infants have been targeted. Scientists describe it as “the first documented civil war among wild chimps.”
Alpha Male Morton has been wounded. Group Center is retreating. The jungle needs a peacemaker.
